Aviation History Day

For the March Wings & Wheels we were very fortunate to have noted aviation author Ronald "REG" Davies from the Smithsonian Institute on hand to deliver speeches & answer questions about his vast knowledge of the aviation industry. REG was joined by local Houston historians and authors Story Sloane and Celeste Graves, and Museum Volunteer and original Trans-Texas Airways pilot Captain A.J. High, who each spoke and answered questions about their books.

Out on the ramp, we had the museum's 1942 Lockheed Lodestar and 2008-2009 Raffle Plane on display, as well as a vintage Cessna Bobcat and Boeing-Stearman PT-17 WW-II biplane. Representing more modern aviation was a 2001 Beechcraft Baron.
