D'Shannon Aviation Beechcraft Day - Take two!

Since our originally scheduled Beechcraft day was rained out, we decided to have a make-up day. Wings & Wheels is normally on the 3rd Saturday of the month, but we had so many Beechcraft lined up that we didn't want to disappoint, so we rescheduled it and filled the ramp with Beechcraft and other airplanes as well!

We also hosted Jason Schappert and Vincent Lambercy of Flying Across America starting on Thursday. They, along with museum volunteers and board members A.J. High and Jeffrey Weiss participated in a "Meet the Pilot" session, where each of them spoke in front of the audience, sharing their individual stories of their avaition lives and careers.

Jason Schappert of Flying Across America sparked the aviation dream in the eyes of one 5-year old boy. He took him in his Cessna 150 out for a flight around Houston. He really enjoyed it, and wants to become a pilot!

We had many Beechcraft on the ramp including an F33 Bonanza belonging to museum president Drew Coats, Mike Kelly's V-tail Bonanza, one of two Barons owned by Jeffrey Weiss, and last but not least, a King Air!

This month's Wings & Wheels was once again sponsored by D'Shannon Aviation.
