Wings & Wheels & Wasps!

This month, we were treated to a special presentation by Carol Cain the Associate Director of the National WASP WWII Museum in Sweetwater, TX.

Carol Cain is an authority on the WASPs and loves to share their amazing stories of bravery. The WASPs, who all trained in Texas, are a major part of HAM's documentary Home Front: Texas in WWII.

Also joining Carol was Sarah Rickman. Sarah is the author of seven books about the WASP and the author of nine nationally published articles about the WASP. Sarah has edited the WASP newsletter for Texas Woman's University since 2009 and serves as an oral historian for the WASP Archives. She has been writing books since 1986. She earned her B.A. in English from Vanderbilt University and an M.A. in Creative Writing from Antioch University Midwest (Ohio) in 1996.

We had a few fly-ins including a Husky from Jeff Weiss, as well as a Beechcraft Travelair from Jay Robinson of Anson Aviation.
