Step back in time and dance the night away at the 1940 Air Terminal Museum’s new
1940s-style big band hangar dance: The Hobby Hangar Hop. As the sun sets on
Houston’s Hobby Airport, the Houston Big Band will light up the night with big
band favorites from the 1940s. Vintage aircraft, including the Commemorative Air
Force’s newly restored Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress, Texas Raiders, will serve as a
backdrop for a wonderful and unique evening.

Tables for 10 are now on sale for $750 for 1940 Air Terminal Museum and CAF
members, $1,000.00 for non-members. Individual tickets are now on sale for $75
for 1940 Air Terminal Museum and CAF members, $100.00 for non-members.
Event underwriter opportunities are available.

The event will include the Houston Big Band’s 15 piece orchestra, plenty of
dancing, dinner, drinks, antique planes, a silent auction and more.

This was a fantastic and record-setting Wings & Wheels event! It was described by many as one of the best we’ve ever had! We set a new record with 22 fly-in aircraft on our ramp at the same time.

In addition to the museum’s raffle Cessna 175 (which could be yours for $50!), we had two Cessna 172′s, a North American Navion, a Navy T-34C primary trainer aircraft from the Naval Air Station in Corpus Christi, TX, and 17 RV aircraft of various models.
