July 16 is fast approaching. Have you bought your tickets yet? This month’s Wings and Wheels theme is Raffle Day, and that means that we get to give some lucky ticketholder the keys to this year’s Raffle Plane!
Our fourth Raffle Plane is a vintage 1957 Cessna 172, and has been a joy to spend time with. As with all our raffle planes, Raffle Plane 4.0 is a vintage plane that is in great shape and is ready to keep bringing the joy of flight to its owner for a long time.
The Museum opens at 10 and Wings and Wheels officially starts at 11. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children, and includes access to the Museum, static aircraft and vehicle displays. Fly your plane in and admission is free! Have a vintage car? We’ll knock half off admission if you bring it by.
Lunch will be served around noon, just in time to rest and enjoy our regular 12:30 presentation on aviation history by volunteer Michael Bludworth. Learn about the early days of Houston Municipal Airport as well as Houston’s rich aviation history.
It’s going to be a hot day, so make sure you wear your sunscreen!
