Bush Airport — originally called Houston Intercontinental Airport when it opened in June 1969 — first opened with two terminals, A and B. Both terminal A and B were designed as circular modules with four “flight stations,” and, in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s, Terminal A’s north and south concourses were remodeled into linear concourses. In recent years, the airport added a new Terminal B South Concourse and C North Terminal.

Join us on Saturday, July 20, 2019 for our Wings & Wheels Summer Block Party! We are adding on an hour this month to fit in more activities so join us from 10am-3pm for a fun-filled day! Admission is only $7 for adults and $3 for children (2-12) and kids under the age of 2 will get in for free. Museum members, fly-in guests or guests who drive-up in a classic car will also receive free admission.
We will have a DJ playing some cool summer hits, face painting, craft stations, guided tours of the museum, static display of vintage aircraft, a special air show put on by our friends at Tiger Flight, and many other attractions!
Also, join us for story time led by author Danielle Metcalfe-Chenail – Alis the Aviator. She will be reading from her new children’s book and will stay on site to sign copies and interact with the kids.
GONZO247will be on site to join us in the official unveiling of the long anticipated completion of his 3-D art installation on our 1969 Hawker Jet.
