Pops & Props 2010
The 1940 Air Terminal Museum is pleased to announce the 6th Annual Pops & Props Gala and Silent Auction on Saturday, March 27, 2010, at 6:30 p.m.
This black tie optional event will be held at the 1940 Air Terminal Museum at 8325 Travelair Road on the west side of William P. Hobby Airport. On behalf of the board of directors of the Houston Aeronautical Heritage Society, we invite you to be an underwriter or table sponsor.
The 1940 Air Terminal Museum will be your gateway into a bygone era. As night falls on the airport, guests will arrive and be greeted by tuxedoed waiters bearing trays of delicious canapés and flutes of champagne. Vintage aircraft will be spotlighted on the Museum’s tarmac and vintage automobiles will be displayed around the Terminal. A 40’s style big band will play hits from Glenn Miller and other 1940's big band leaders as swing dancers warm up the dance floor. After a multi-course seated dinner, guests will be invited to bid on a unique selection of once-in-a-lifetime vacations, art, antiques, aviation collectibles and more on the silent auction tables and dance the night away.
There are three ways you can participate in the 6th Annual Pops & Props Gala:
- As a Pops & Props Underwriter ($7,500.00*) you will receive two reserved tables for ten, an invitation for a private tour of the 1940 Air Terminal, ten invitations to the Underwriters’ Cocktail Reception, recognition in the Pops & Props Souvenir Program and prominent recognition on a personalized banner to be displayed throughout the event.
- As a Pops & Props Table Sponsor ($1,940.00**), you will receive a reserved table for ten, recognition in the Pops & Props Souvenir Program and prominent recognition on a Table Sponsors’ Marquis to be displayed throughout the event.
- A very limited number of Individual tickets will be made available for $150.00 each, beginning February 15.
In order to preserve the magic of the event, we are limiting the size of the gala to no more than 200 attendees. The reviews and comments on the first five Pops & Props were universally spectacular. Tables are selling fast and we believe this year’s event will sell out in short order. For airport security reasons, all tickets to the event must be purchased in advance and will not be available on the day of the event.

Please send us your check made payable to the Houston Aeronautical Heritage Society to reserve your tables as soon as possible, or call to purchase your tables. Please also feel free to share information about Pops & Props with your friends and colleagues, and encourage them to contact us to reserve their sponsorship or table as well.
