For one magical evening, the 1940 Air Terminal Museum at Houston's William P. Hobby Airport is transformed into an elegant scene from a bygone era. As night falls on the airport, guests arrive and are greeted by tuxedoed waiters bearing trays of delicious canapes and flutes of champagne. Vintage aircraft and automobiles fill the hangar. In the shadow of the museum's 1943 Lockheed Lodestar, The Ronnie Renfrow Big Band plays hits from Glenn Miller and other 1940's big band leaders as swing dancers warm up the dance floor. After an elegantly catered dinner, guests are invited to bid on a unique selection of aviation collectibles on the Silent Auction tables and dance the night away.
Pops & Props Underwriter - $7,500
As an underwriter, you will receive two reserved tables for ten, an invitation for a private pre-restoration tour of the 1940 Air Terminal, ten invitations to the Underwriters' Cocktail Reception, recognition in the Pops & Props Souvenir Program and prominent recognition on a personalized banner to be displayed throughout the event.
Pops & Props Table Sponsor - $1,940
As a table sponsor, you will receive one reserved table for ten, recognition in the Pops & Props Souvenir Program and prominent recognition on the Table Sponsors' Marquis to be displayed throughout the event.
Individual Tickets - $150
To preserve the magic of this extraordinary evening, the size of the event is limited. The reviews and comments on the first two Pops & Props Galas were universally spectacular. Tables are already selling fast and we believe that this year's event will sell out in short order. You can secure your underwriter status, tables, or individual tickets by sending your check made payable to the Houston Aeronautical Heritage Society (HAHS, PO Box 130246, The Woodlands, Texas 77393) as soon as possible.
ALL TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE.
NO TICKETS OR TABLES CAN BE SOLD ON THE DAY OF THE GALA.
Net proceeds from the event are dedicated exclusively to the restoration of the Houston Municipal Airport Terminal and the 1940 Air Terminal Museum.
