The Blue Angels Gallery On July 11-12, 2003, the Board of Directors of the Houston Aeronautical Heritage Society toured the National Museum of Naval Aviation at Pensacola, Florida. The Naval Aviation museum is the second largest aviation museum in the world. Special behind-the-scenes briefings were given by Jim Veasley and J.J. Coonan regarding the design, development, and operation of this first class aviation museum. We greatly appreciate their sharing with us their experience and expertice regarding the successful management of artifacts, aircraft and other collections, as well as volunteer recruitment and training, educational programs, and other areas of museum organization.
