The Museum is centrally located in Houston and is housed in a 1940 art deco building that previously served as Houston’s original air terminal. The newly renovated atrium area provides a beautiful venue for your next reception or party.

The Museum and Grounds
The Museum offers a stunning backdrop for any function that is normally held outdoors. We can also offer open ground for a tented function. The museum itself is a wonderful, information-rich space for a wandering mixer or birthday party.
Atrium
Capacity: Under 150 seated, 200+ standing
Our grand central space is perfect for larger cocktail parties, elegant Christmas parties, anniversaries, small galas, wine tastings, and larger speaker series or presentations. The atrium can also be a focal point for use of the entire museum space. This curvilinear space can be an elegant ceremony site for any wedding.
Meeting Room / Theater
Capacity: Under 50 seated, 50+ standing
This space can be utilized as a comfortable meeting room with presentation capabilities, as a theater, or as a hosting area for smaller cocktail functions or parties for your office or birthday.
Hangar
Capacity: 500+
The Hangar can be used for any function you can imagine, large or small. Dance the night away amongst our vintage aircraft* (available for static display only) and autos in elegant or casual setting. Perfect for your office party or wedding reception.

SERVICE & DETAILS
PRICE: All prices are dependant wholly on type and date of the function, how many attendees, and what space and equipment are used. Museum members receive a discount on all event rentals.

CATERING: The renter must secure and coordinate with a catering company if the function requires refreshments. The Museum kitchen is available and provides a microwave, refrigerator and sink, as well as limited preparation space. Caterers must provide insurance and be pre-approved by the Museum administrator.

RENTAL EQUIPMENT: Some tables and chairs are available from the museum for events and the museum has a small speaker system in the main atrium. All other rentals are the responsibility of the patron. DJ equipment and decorations can be rented from an outside company but the set up responsibility and costs are all incurred by the renter.
USE OF THE MUSEUM’S PROPERTY: The museum has several vintage aircraft in its collection that can be utilized by the renter during any function. Set up outside the terminal provides a unique backdrop for events in the atrium and theater and airplanes inside the hangar during an event helps set the mood. Fees and availability vary, contact the museum administrator for details.
