Aviation Artist Jonathan Frank

Second 1940 Air Terminal Print

In 1999, Jonathan Frank was commissioned by the 1940 Air Terminal Project to create a painting that depicted the Houston Municipal Airport Terminal during the late 1940s. The painting (seen at left), titled Age of the Classics - The Houston Municipal Air Terminal was countersigned by Trans-Texas Airways Captain A.J. High. Signed and numbered prints of this painting are still available and may be purchased in our online gift shop.

Jonathan Frank ArtJonathan Frank is the proprietor of Ceilings Unlimited Aviation Art Studio and a member of the prestigious American Society of Aviation Artists. As an ASAA scholarship winner, Jonathan has apprenticed with renowned aviation artists Keith Ferris, Paul Rendell, Gil Cohen, Jack Fellows and Mike O’Neal.

Jonathan Frank ArtIn addition to his painting, Jonathan Frank is a Continental Airlines 737 pilot and flies a Piper J- 3 Cub and a Stearman. Jonathan has flown for Continental Micronesia, Continental Express and Citation Oil & Gas. He also served as a Minuteman III launch commander in the United State Air Force. Jonathan is a graduate of Embry-Riddle University.
