Lockheed Lodestar N31G - Maintenance Log

September / October 2003

The 1940 Air Terminal Museum is preparing to inaugurate flight operations with our gorgeous Lockheed Lodestar. The Lodestar is in excellent condition and required only a little mechanical work to prepare to fly. Thanks to our volunteers who donated their time and technical expertise, she is ready for flight operations.

Volunteer Rich Schwartz and Chief Pilot Gordon Cragg (in the nose of the aircraft) get the Lodestar ready to fly.

Randy Wahlberg generously offered ramp and shop space for the maintenance work.

Rich and Gordon check out the mechanical systems.

N31G soaks up the sunshine as all systems are checked.

Even with her cowlings off, the Lodestar strikes a beautiful pose under the clear blue sky.

Fasten your seatbelts and prepare for departure!
